Blood stain carpet cleaning is nothing new to our Central Coast service. Our experienced team of technicians regularly come across various spots and stains on our customer’s carpets.
Recently, we attended a house in Narara which was being put up for sale. Our lovely elderly customer had reached the point in her life where she needed full-time nursing care. We attended the premises and did our usual pre vacuum, which removes all dry particulate soils and insolubles – like hair etc. After we were satisfied that we had removed as much as we could with our commercial vacuum cleaner, we pre-sprayed on all traffic areas and also on all water based spots. The important thing that our technicians are taught is that ‘like dissolves like.’
This means that water based stains are treated with water based products and solvent/oil based stains are treated with our proprietary solvent based products. It is vital that we use the correct product to get the best results. In this case, blood is a water based spot, so our main cleaner, ‘The Natural’ which is a water based product, will remove most of the blood staining.
During the first stage, we completed our full hot water carbonated extraction clean. Our customer was quite happy with the results. However, we noticed that there were a lot of blood spots throughout the house and they needed extra attention. The blood stains really stood out when the whole carpet was sparkling clean.
Before our customer started using Chem-Dry Red Rose, they used a steam carpet cleaner who could not remove blood stains. As the customer was not well, blood was often present and she was told that they couldn’t be removed. She just lived with them!
Our trusted technicians spent extra time using our World Famous Spot Remover (which is available to purchase so you don’t need to use those nasty spot cleaners from supermarkets!) to treat the blood stains. 
We can remove any stain unless the substance which was spilt on the carpet has penetrated the dye site. If it has removed the colour from the carpet, the only solution is to match and replace the colour with our Spot Dye kit.
Once the technicians were satisfied with the blood spot removal, they sanitised the areas with our anti microbial product. The whole carpeted area was then deodorised and in ‘tip top’ condition for the Open House on the following weekend.
The great thing is that we look after many retirement villages on the Central Coast and we are still able to look after the same customer. We regularly attend and see her in her lovely new residence in one of these retirement complexes.
